Some of you may not have been aware that March 07 hosted the first SNOG (Student Nurses on Grass) weekend last year. It was such a success that we are doing it all again, except this year it is open to all. Fellow Nursing Students
The campsite has been booked for the nights of Friday July 11th and Saturday July 12th. This event is open to all nurse students.
The site fee for camping is £6 per person per night including breakfast. There are also a limited number of beds within the lodge at £12 per night including breakfast, available on a first come first served basis.
It is hoped this can again be a fun event using our initiative to provide our own entertainment I.E. games, beer, music, alcohol, singing, wine, occasional burger, cider, dancing, campfire, Bar-B, a couple of drinks and any other suggestion you may have to entertain ourselves!!!!.
Campers will need a tent, (not required if in lodge, Doh!) sleeping bag, yourself(essential) and food(optional) and a large measure of fun to enjoy the weekend.
Hopefully it will not rain like last year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Although this did not dampen spirits, ales, wines, campfire or the food!
listed is some of the equipment you will need for the weekend:-

Other camping equipment you might have or require for heating water etc
Tea/Coffee (i.e. supply your own)
Airbed/Sleeping Mat
Clothing for sleeping (no nudity please you could arouse the local wildlife!!!!)
(It’s nearly extinct as it is!!!!)
Toiletries
Toilet Roll
Knife, Fork, Spoon
Plate (and cereal bowl)
Torch
Clothing (suiting weather forecast and cooler evenings)
Food should you require midday meal!!!!
REMEMBER – Breakfast is included and Bar-B-Q facilities will be made available to cook each evening.
You will need to pay in full when you book your place - ASAP please as numbers have to be given and payment made to the site. The toilet and shower blocks will be the available to us and we will have use of the campfire.
The campsite will be open to us from 15:00 on the 11th until 09:00 on the 13th. Sorry if this is early but there is an event is taking place on the site and we have to vacate to facilitate this.

Please be aware of the following terms and conditions under which we will be hiring this campsite, Thank You.
1). Motor vehicles are not permitted on the field. The main drive may only be used for the purposes of loading/unloading equipment & disabled vehicle access. At all other times the drive must remain clear for Emergency vehicle access.
2). Hirers wishing to construct wet & dry pits should inform the Parc Warden upon arrival.
3). In the interest of Health & Safety, Hirers are not permitted to smoke in any of the buildings.
4). Campers are advised to provide adequate fire fighting equipment when cooking under canvas, i.e. fire extinguisher / fire blanket.
5). Fire point(s) are to be used only in an emergency & must not be tampered with.
6). Fires must be constructed above ground (i.e. alter fires) unless lit in the camp fire area.
7). Only dead / fallen wood may be used for open fires. Under no circumstances must the trees be damaged.
8). All lights and electrical equipment to be turned off when not in use.
9). In the interest of Health & Safety, unless the climbing wall has been officially booked, under no circumstances should the facility be used.
10). The Hirer is responsible for ensuring that facilities remain presentable. Upon departure please ensure that personal belongings are removed and that all buildings are cleaned. Failure to do so will result in a cleaning charge being made.
11). All rubbish must be separated into the appropriate recycle bins & placed in the bags provided (paper, plastic, glass, cans). Rubbish that cannot be recycled must be placed in black bags, securely tied & placed in the wheelie bin provided.
12). Chemical toilets must be emptied in the Elsan disposal point located in the field.
13). All damages must be reported to the Parc Warden on departure. Hirers will be responsible for repairs/costs incurred.
14). Please consider our neighbours & other site users by keeping noise to a minimum at night. We respectfully ask Hirers to cease all events/music by twelve midnight.
15). The Parc Manager should be notified of any cancellation as soon as possible. We regret that in these circumstances deposits are non refundable.
16). Fees payable on departure unless otherwise agreed by the Parc Manager.
17). If your program includes any specialist activities (e.g. Archery) please attach a copy of the appropriate qualification when returning your booking form to the Parc Manager.
18). We regret that we cannot allow any of the following on site: Fireworks, guns/firearms, dogs (except Guide Dogs) or caravans.
* Islwyn District Scout Parc & its Representatives reserve the right to
request Hirers who do not adhere to the Terms & Conditions listed above to leave the site with immediate effect. This may jeopardize future bookings for the Hirer.
